MYOS Veterinary CE Course Launches on June 10th

We are extremely excited to announce that MYOS will begin offering a series of RACE approved Veterinary CE Courses. Our first course, Small Animal Sarcopenia: A Neglected Syndrome of Importance to Cats and Dogs, will take place starting on June 11th with multiple time slots available. 

There is no fee to register & attend. CE Credits:  The course, Small Animal Sarcopenia: A Neglected Syndrome of Importance to Cats and Dogs is accredited by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB) for inclusion in their Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) programs. Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians will receive credit for 1.00 hour CE upon successful completion of this course.

Instructor: Dr. Neerav Padliya, Vice President, Research Alliances at MYOS RENS Technology, Inc. In this Veterinary CE course, Dr. Padliya will cover:

  • Impact of Muscle Mass on Chronic Heart Failure Survival in Dogs
  • Impact of Muscle Mass on Chronic Kidney Disease Survival in Cats
  • Pharmaceutical Clinical Trials to Address Muscle Wasting in Dogs and Cats
  • Nutrition Clinical Trials to Address Muscle Wasting in Dogs and Cats

Dr. Padliya has served as Vice President, Research & Development at MYOS RENS Technology, Inc. since 2013 during which time he has managed human and veterinary clinical programs in addition to preclinical studies with leading universities and CROs to study the impact of nutrition products on sarcopenia, muscle disuse atrophy and cancer cachexia in humans and animals.  He provides scientific oversight to MYOS' Animal Health Business, working closely with leading Veterinarians and Veterinary Researchers across the United States to leverage the extensive research behind the advanced nutrition product, Fortetropin®.   Prior to joining MYOS, Dr. Padliya was a Sr. Applications Scientist at SCIEX/Danaher where he worked closely with scientists in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical and CRO sectors to solve challenging problems related to protein characterization and systems biology.  At Celgene/Bristol-Myers Squibb, Dr. Padliya established a state-of-the art Proteomics Laboratory and contributed to the issue of 6 U.S. and European Patents in cellular therapeutics.  Dr. Padliya graduated with a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo and has co-authored 7 peer reviewed publications.  He completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Beltsville, Maryland.
